Online videos are an excellent way to promote tourism.  Background music and sound effects are an important component of the production.  And as much as you’d really like to use tunes from your iTunes music library, it’s simply not legal to use commercial music in your online video projects.

We were delighted to come across http://freeplaymusic.com which licenses free music tracks to enhance video production projects for Web distribution.  We use this site almost exclusively to lay down music on videos.

RIP – Ronnie James Dio

A major influence in my life passed away on Sunday May 16 after a battle with stomach cancer.  Ronnie James Dio, best known for replacing Ozzy Osborne in Black Sabbath battled cancer for the past little while.  Ronnie helped many through some pretty dark times in music in the 70’s and 80’s, but for me Ronnie was an example of never giving up, having passion in what you do and having grit and determination.

Ronnie’s music will never be forgotten.  Thanks for the great memories in Vancouver during the kick off to the Heaven and Hell reunion (which is really Black Sabbath) tour (see video – I was there).  Ronnie, you are and forever will be a class act!
